PERC Teacher Job Fair

Dear Gannon Teacher Candidates,

If you plan to attend the PERC Education Job Fair, please forward your resume to Janet Armbruster at armbrust003 at gannon as soon as possible.  Over 120 school districts from all over the country will be in attendance at the fair, scheduled for Wednesday, March 26^th.  This is an excellent opportunity to meet and possibly interview with these districts.  Below are instructions on how to register for the fair.  For specific questions, please email Janet Armbruster or visit the PERC general website at http://www.percjobfair.org/index.php.   Please read the following information carefully so that your job fair registration is efficient and successful.  I hope to see you there!

PERC (Pittsburgh Education Recruitment Consortium) EDUCATION JOB FAIR REGISTRATION

1.   Date:  Wednesday, March 26, 2014

      Place:  Monroeville Convention Center

      Time:  9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

2.    ELIGIBILITY

The following eligibility requirements apply to all qualified graduating students and alumni wishing to attend the consortium:

a.   You must be graduating with a degree in education and/or certification; be a candidate for an OT/PT/SLP degree, or a school counseling degree from a college or university participating in this consortium.  (Gannon University is a participant.)  No exceptions will be made. (A list of consortium members is available at http://www.percjobfair.org/index.php. You must also be eligible to work at the beginning of the 2014-2015 academic year.

b. You must pay your $10.00 pre-registration fee.  You may register one of two ways:

1). PREFERRED: You are encouraged to use our new online registration form.  This form requires you to use a credit or debit card.  Registration will be live until Friday, March 7, 2014.

2).   ALTERNATE: If you do not have a credit or debit card, you are also able to register for the fair at your career center by bringing $10.00 and submitting the attached Candidate Registration form to your Career Center by Thursday, February 27th.  Walk-in the day of the event is $25.00 (cash only).  Please be sure to request a receipt from your career center stating your payment of $10.00.

c.   Your name must appear on the roster of paid candidates submitted to PERC by your Career Center. (KEEP YOUR RECEIPT OR BRING YOUR PRINTED FORM FROM THE ONLINE REGISTRATION!!)
