Finals Week Prayer

This has been floating around the Internet and I thought it would be appropriate to share here.

Prayer for Finals Week

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not flunk:
He keepeth me from lying down when I should be studying.
He leadeth me beside the water cooler for a study break:
He restoreth my faith in study guides.
He leads me to better study habits
For my GPA’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of borderline grades,
I will not have a nervous breakdown:
For thou are with me.
My prayers and my friends, they comfort me.
Thou givest me answers in moments of blankness:
Thou anointest my head with understanding.
My test paper runneth over with questions I recognize.
Surely passing grades and flying colors shall follow me
All the days of my examinations.
And I shall not dwell in this university forever. (But others will)
Amen!

Opportunity for Student Teachers: NES Pilot Testing

We have received a request from Pearson that I am posting here. This may be a good way to self-assess your strengths and areas of need. This activity is not associated with Gannon University and this posting is not an endorsement of the product.

Pearson Education is seeking your help in registering pilot test participants from across the country for the NESR (National Evaluation SeriesT), the new, dynamic, 100-percent computer-based teacher certification testing program. They are gearing up for a rigorous test development year ahead in 2010, including Pilot Testing!

Are you a new teacher or student teacher?

If you answered YES, please consider registering to take a pilot test.

Advantages of Participation:

For each pilot test completed (up to eight), participants may select one of the following incentives:

$75.00 electronic Penguin Books gift code

$40.00 check

Please help Pearson Education to reach our pilot test goals as part of the on-going test development for the NESR!

Sincerely,

Cassie Deason
Manager, Central Activities Unit and Committee Recruitment Group Evaluation Systems Pearson
