Dr. Quick has just been made aware of a great community service opportunity. If you live in the
The dates are June 28-July 16. The hours are 9:40-2:30 and you can work all day or just a couple of hours, whatever you can fit in. This of course (as is most community service) not a paid opportunity.
Please let Dr. Quick know if you are interested. She should be receiving more details (where, when, who, etc) in mid-May and will contact you back then.
Attention Education Majors:
SPSEA will be hosting Mock Interview sessions this Wednesday and Thursday (April 21st and 22nd) at 7 pm. Signs will be posted in Palumbo in reference to the room number where these sessions will be held. We plan to discuss appropriate answers to common interview questions and are hoping to provide time for either individual or group mock interviews. Professional Development hours can be earned at this event and certificates will be distributed.
If any of you are interested in running for an officer position of SPSEA for the 2010-2011 school year (or you feel the desire to nominate someone else for a position) please email either myself, Stephanie, at laino001@gannon.edu or Merissa, at proch001@gannon.edu. We will be accepting nominations until Sunday, April 25th. We will then hold electronic elections the following week. If you are hesitant about nominating yourself or someone, feel free to email us about questions regarding officer duties, etc.
Thanks!
Stephanie Laino
SPSEA Secretary
