Invitation for Student Teachers: The National Student Teacher and Supervision Conference

The National Student Teacher and Supervision Conference is being held at Slippery Rock University on April 28 and 29, 2011. Please let your current student teachers know of this event. Recent alumni are also invited to register and attend. Teacher candidate registration is only $35.

The website, which provides details about the conference, is:      http://www.student-teacher-supervision.org/

On the site is information about the Student Teacher Poster Session. Last year over 60 school administrators from western PA participated and some individuals obtained job interviews. To participate, teacher candidates must register for the conference. Registration is only $35 and includes meals.

Sherri Morris from the Wake County School District (Raleigh, North Carolina) will be presenting a session on “Teaching in the South”. She will also be interviewing candidates on Saturday, April 30, in McKay Education Building, Room 115. She is interested in Special Education, Secondary Math, Science, English and Foreign Language. This is open to anyone but in case there is a large turnout preference will be given to those who have registered for the conference.
