Math tutor needed

We are in need of a tutor for Math 105.  We are looking for someone who has successfully completed the course and can help others to be successful.  This is not a paying position but will provide service hours for the student who volunteers.

For more information contact Dr. Forbes (forbes001@gannon.edu).

Volunteer opportunity

The School of Education is seeking volunteers to tutor and coordinate after school activities at the Martin Luther King Center. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience and add service hours to your portfolio and resume. The Center is located at 4th and Chestnut Streets and volunteers are needed from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. If individuals can be there between 2:30 and 2:45 to set up that would be a plus but not required. If you do not have transportation, we will try to match you with individuals who have a car.

I am planning to establish teams of 4-5 individuals and would expect each team to volunteer a minimum of four days. Please stop at the reception desk in the School of Education Office to sign up and indicate if you are available Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday. I need to have the volunteer list complete by Tuesday, February 15th.  So, talk to your friends, pick some days that will work, and sign up!

Arrangements are being made for a short orientation meeting for all volunteers. Watch your email for further information.
